Milan insisting for Renato Sanches
Renato Sanches may be the latest addition to AC Milan’s midfield. Karl Heinz Rummenigge confirms the parties are currently in negotiations.
Renato Sanches is one of the last names attached to AC Milan to strengthen the midfield. A very interesting player that can be convenient for manager Vincenzo Montella. The rossoneri have already come into contact with Bayern Munich to try to embark on an operation. There was talk of a two year loan offer with the right to buy. AC Milan’s opening offer was 7,5 millions for the loan until 2019 and the right to buy for 40 millions euros. For the moment there is still no agreement between the parties, because there is a distance between the offer and the demand. However, negotiations could take off in the coming days as the red and blacks will meet the German team in a friendly match in China. The perfect occasion for a meeting between both clubs representatives.
Meanwhile, Karl Heinz Rummenigge of Bayern Munich, confirmed that AC Milan are on the traces of the Portuguese talent: “I can confirm that Milan is interested in Renato Sanches, but there is still no economic agreement“.
The negotiations between the two parties exists, however, now time is needed to achieve an agreement. The first proposal made by Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli did not convince the Bavarians but there are margins to negotiate and reach a deal soon. It will not be easy. Although Renato Sanches disappointed in the past season, Bayern Munich do not want to lose him after paying Benfica 35 million euros (one year ago) and have anticipated in the transaction a series of bonuses that can raise the total cost of Renato Sanches to around 80 millions. The Germans want to defend the investment made and therefore claim from Milan the right price.
Possible direct contact between the parties in the coming days, as explained above. Renato Sanches is among the players who are part of the wealthy Jorge Mendes squad, agent with whom the rossoneri have shortly completed the purchase of Andre Silva for 38 million euros from Porto. Another young Portuguese talent could land at Milanello very soon. A double swipe Sanches – Morata may be on the horizon.
